Sick OLM200-1009 Linear Measurement Sensor
The Sick OLM200-1009 is a linear measurement sensor with 18–30VDC supply, 0–10,000m measuring range, 0.1mm resolution, PROFINET output and IP65 rating. It tracks position and speed on barcode tape.
The NAV350-3232 belongs to the Sick NAV350 series of 2D LiDAR sensors. This indoor device uses a 905nm laser source. Furthermore, it delivers a full 360° horizontal aperture angle. The sensor supports Ethernet TCP/IP and RS-232 interfaces. Therefore, it fits automated guided vehicle navigation and reflector-based positioning.
The Sick NAV350-3232 sensor scans at 8Hz with ±5% tolerance. Its angular resolution reaches 0.25°. Additionally, the working range spans 0.5m to 250m. On reflectors, that range narrows to 0.5m to 70m. The scanning range reaches 35m at 10% remission. Moreover, it reaches 100m at 90% remission.
This 2D LiDAR sensor detects almost any object shape. The systematic error is ±10mm in RDI mode. In contour mode, it is ±15mm. Besides, the statistical error is 15mm in contour mode. The reflector memory holds 12,000 marks. Positioning accuracy reaches ±4mm. Specifically, navigation works as the integrated application.
Key parameters:
Working range: 0.5 m ... 250 m
Scanning frequency: 8 Hz, ± 5 %
Angular resolution: 0.25°
Supply voltage: 24 V DC, ± 15 %
Positioning accuracy: ± 4 mm
The housing uses aluminum die cast material. Its color is light blue (RAL 5012). The enclosure rating reaches IP65. Protection class is III. The weight is 2.4kg. Dimensions measure 115mm x 120.5mm x 222mm. The MTBF reaches 86 years. Meanwhile, the MTTFD exceeds 100 years.
Power consumption is 36W. The connection type uses 3 x M12 male and female connectors. Ambient operating temperature ranges from 0°C to +50°C. Storage temperature spans –20°C to +80°C. Permissible relative humidity reaches 85%, non-condensing. Recommended reflector marks include stripes with width ≥80mm. Cylindrical reflectors need diameter ≥80mm.
The NAV350-3232 provides Ethernet TCP/IP at 100 Mbit/s. It also offers RS-232 serial communication. The serial data rate spans 19.2 kBaud to 115 kBaud. One digital output is available. Meanwhile, 4 LEDs show status information. Laser class 1 applies per IEC 60825-1:2014 and EN 60825-1:2014+A11:2021.
This sensor does not constitute a safety component. Relevant machine safety legislation does not cover it. Therefore, use it only for navigation and positioning duties. Do not rely on it for personnel protection.
First, mount the sensor at the required height on your vehicle. Keep the scan plane clear of obstructions. Next, connect the three M12 connectors. Then, supply 24VDC with ±15% tolerance. Check the 4 LEDs for status.
Furthermore, place reflector marks along the travel path. Use stripes with width ≥80mm or cylinders with diameter ≥80mm. Besides, configure the navigation application through Ethernet. Load the reflector map into the 12,000-mark memory. Finally, verify positioning accuracy at ±4mm. Test the 360° scan coverage before full operation.
