Isolation is 100% tested at 2150V DC for 1 second from user to system. Channel-to-channel and customer power to input channels have no isolation. Flexbus current draws 30mA maximum at 5V DC.
Power dissipation peaks at 4.5W at 132V AC. Thermal dissipation reaches 15.3 BTU/hr at the same voltage. Therefore, panel thermal design should account for this heat load in dense racks.
The TC-FIDA81 measures 46mm × 94mm × 53mm (H × W × D). It operates from 0 to 55°C and stores from -40 to 85°C. Relative humidity ranges from 5 to 95% non-condensing.
Shock ratings are 30 g peak for operating and 50 g peak for non-operating, both with an 11 ms pulse width. Vibration testing follows IEC 68-2-6 at 5 g across 10-500 Hz. Conductors accept 12 gauge (4mm²) stranded wire maximum, with 3/64 inch (1.2mm) insulation maximum.
First, insert the TC-FIDA81 into keyswitch position 8 and secure it to the chassis. Next, wire the AC field devices to the input terminals, keeping the single group of eight inputs on a common reference. Then connect the external 120V AC supply within the 85-132V AC range.
After that, select the filter time in the output image table. Choose a longer filter for noisy signals and a shorter filter for fast response. Finally, verify the eight yellow indicators respond to field device states, and check that total power dissipation stays within 4.5W.
