The Keyence IL-1000 is a multi-function analog laser sensor amplifier unit. Keyence built this main unit for DIN-rail mounting inside control cabinets. It works with every IL series sensor head, so users can swap heads without changing the amplifier. A 6-digit display shows readings clearly. Furthermore, the minimum displayable unit depends on the connected head. For instance, it reaches 1 µm with the IL-S025 or IL-030. Meanwhile, the IL-300 shows 10 µm and the IL-600 shows 50 µm. The display refreshes about 10 times per second. As a result, the IL-1000 suits fast inline inspection and positioning tasks.

This amplifier unit delivers both judgment and analog outputs. Specifically, the judgment output uses an open collector design. Users can switch between NPN and PNP, and between N.O. and N.C. modes. Besides, an alarm output offers the same NPN/PNP changeover with N.C. logic.
