Product Introduction

The Schneider Electric TM2DMM16DRTN gives you both inputs and outputs in one module. You get 8 digital input channels and 8 relay output channels. This mixed design saves space in your control cabinet. Additionally, it reduces the number of modules you need for small to medium applications.

The inputs accept 24V DC signals. They work with both sink and source wiring. The outputs use relay contacts rated for 2A at either 24V DC or 220V AC. Therefore, you can switch both DC and AC loads with the same module.

Power comes through the ribbon cable from the controller. A removable screw terminal block makes wiring simple and fast. Green LEDs show the status of each input and output. A red LED alerts you to configuration or internal errors.

Installation Guidelines

First, turn off all power to the controller. Mount the TM2DMM16DRTN on a 35mm DIN rail. Push it until the clip locks into place.

Next, connect the ribbon cable from the controller or previous module. This provides both power and communication. Then, wire your field devices to the removable screw terminal block. For inputs, you can choose sink or source wiring. Connect the 24V DC common accordingly.

For outputs, remember that relay contacts are isolated. You can mix AC and DC loads on different outputs. However, do not exceed 2A per channel or 8A per common.

After wiring, push the terminal block back into the module. Apply power and check the green PWR LED. If the red ERR LED flashes, configure the module in your software. Finally, test each input and output while watching the green status LEDs.
