Keyence IV3-CP50 Touchscreen Control Panel
Product Introduction
The Keyence IV3-CP50 is a control panel built for Keyence vision sensors. It works with the IV3 Series, IV2 Series, and IV Series. The unit features a 5.7-inch TFT color LCD with 640 x 480 VGA resolution. Furthermore, its analog resistive touch panel needs only 0.8 N or less actuating force.
This panel lets operators view images and change settings without a PC. Meanwhile, it connects to the sensor through an M12 4-pin Ethernet port. A USB port is also available for data transfer. As a result, on-site adjustment and monitoring become simple and fast.
Technical Specifications
The display measures 5.7 inches diagonally and shows 640 x 480 pixels. Its white LED backlight lasts approximately 50000 hours at 25°C. The touch panel uses analog resistive technology with low actuating force. Additionally, the built-in ports include M12 4-pin Ethernet at 100BASE-TX and one USB interface.
Communication protocols depend on the connected sensor. For instance, the linked camera may use EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or TCP/IP. The IV3-CP50 has no expansion options of its own. Specifically, it acts as a local terminal for the sensor it serves.
Electrical Parameters
The supply voltage is 24 VDC with +/-10% tolerance, including ripple. Power consumption stays at 0.3 A or less. This low draw suits shared control cabinets and compact enclosures. Besides, the panel accepts standard industrial power wiring through its brass connector.
The power connector uses brass with nickel coating. The Ethernet connector uses zinc with nickel coating and PA. A USB connector cover in EPDM protects the port when unused. Therefore, the unit resists dust and minor splashes in normal use.
Mechanical and Environmental Data
The operating temperature range is 0 to +50°C without freezing. Relative humidity must stay between 35 and 85% RH without condensation. The protection rating is IP40, which suits indoor panel mounting. Moreover, the unit survives a 1.3 m drop onto concrete twice in any direction.
Vibration resistance covers 10 to 55 Hz at 0.7 mm double amplitude. This applies for 2 hours in each of the X, Y, and Z directions. The main case uses PC material. The stylus and pen holder also use PC and POM. Weight is approximately 450 g for the panel alone.
Installation Guide
First, choose a mounting spot within reach of the operator. Next, fix the panel using the supplied wall mounting adapter. Then, connect the M12 Ethernet cable to the sensor. After that, wire 24 VDC power to the brass connector.
Meanwhile, confirm that the supply stays within the +/-10% tolerance. Besides, keep the unit away from strong vibration and direct moisture. For IP40 protection, close the USB cover when the port is idle. Finally, power on the panel and pair it with the target sensor.
