330877-040-36-05 Bently Nevada Extension Cable
The 330877-040-36-05 is a Bently Nevada 3300 XL 50 mm extension cable designed for Proximitor sensors. It uses FluidLoc triaxial cable with a 4.0-meter length. Multiple agency approvals included.
The Bently Nevada 177230-00-01-CN delivers reliable vibration monitoring for rotating machinery. This seismic transmitter measures absolute casing vibration. It outputs a 4-20 mA current loop signal proportional to RMS velocity. You can connect it directly to PLCs, DCS, or SCADA systems. Additionally, it provides a dynamic acceleration signal on a separate pin. Therefore, this single device offers both continuous monitoring and diagnostic data.
Measurement Range: 0 to 12.7 mm/s (0 to 0.5 in/s) RMS, ±10% accuracy
Frequency Response: 10 Hz to 1 kHz (600 to 60,000 cpm) , ±10%
Output Signal Main Loop: 4 ± 0.3 mA = 0.0 mm/s, 20 ± 2 mA = full scale
Sensitivity Dynamic Pin C: Unbuffered acceleration signal referenced to Pin B
The 177230-00-01-CN uses a ceramic shear sensing element. Its mounted resonant frequency exceeds 12 kHz. Furthermore, transverse sensitivity stays below 5% of the main sensitivity.
Excitation Voltage: 12 to 30 Vdc , current limited to 40 mA
Settling Time: Less than 15 seconds within 2% of final value
Electrical Isolation: Greater than 10⁸ ohms
Isolation Breakdown Voltage: 600 Vrms with less than 1 mA leakage
This transmitter works with typical PLC and DCS internal power supplies. These supplies usually limit current between 30 mA and 35 mA. Consequently, the 177230-00-01-CN draws power safely without overloading your system.
Pin A: 4-20 mA positive loop (positive with reference to Pin B)
Pin B: 4-20 mA loop return (negative loop return for Pin A and common for dynamic signal)
Pin C: Dynamic acceleration signal (unbuffered, referenced to Pin B)
Diameter: 25.4 mm (1.00 in)
Height: 66.0 mm (2.60 in)
Weight: 0.131 kg (4.62 oz) typical
Case Material: 316L stainless steel
Connector: 3-pin MIL-C-5015, also 316L stainless steel
Mounting Hole in Body: 1/4-28 UNF
Mounting Thread Options: M6 x 1 SI, M8 x 1.25 SI, or 1/4-28 UNF
Mounting Torque: 4 to 7 N-m (35.4 to 62.0 in-lbf)
Operating Temperature: -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F)
Relative Humidity: To 100% non-submerged
Sensor Seal: Hermetically sealed
Shock Survivability: 9.810 m/s² (1.000 g peak) , maximum drop test
Magnetic Field Sensitivity: Less than 20 μm/s/gauss peak (based on 50 gauss, 50-60 Hz)
The Bently Nevada 177230-00-01-CN withstands extreme conditions. Its 316L stainless steel construction resists corrosion. Moreover, the hermetically sealed sensor prevents moisture ingress.
Approvals Option: CN = Country specific approvals
The CN option includes approvals for China. Quick reference guide and field notification letter are available in the download section.
1. Can I power the 177230-00-01-CN directly from my PLC analog input module?
Yes, provided your module supplies 12-30 Vdc with current limiting between 30-35 mA. Most PLCs meet this requirement.
2. What happens if the vibration exceeds the 12.7 mm/s full scale range?
The output will saturate at approximately 20 mA. It will not damage the transmitter. However, you will lose measurement accuracy above full scale.
3. Do I need to use the dynamic signal on Pin C?
No. You can leave Pin C unconnected. The transmitter works perfectly using only the 4-20 mA loop on Pins A and B.
4. How do I clean the Bently Nevada 177230-00-01-CN?
Wipe the stainless steel body with a soft damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure water jets. Do not submerge the connector end.
5. Is the 12-month factory warranty included?
Yes, but we do not place warranty documents inside the package. Contact us with your proof of purchase to claim the warranty.
