Next, connect your redundant power supplies using the 1756-CPR2 cable. Pay attention to the minimum 5-inch bend radius. This clearance prevents cable damage and ensures proper routing.
Critical warning: Never connect or disconnect the cable while backplane power is live. Doing so causes an electric arc. This arc can create an explosion hazard in hazardous locations. It also causes excessive contact wear. Worn contacts increase electrical resistance. Higher resistance then affects module operation or causes complete failure.
Only one 1756-PSCA2XT is needed per redundant power system. Do not install multiple adapters in the same chassis.
