GT2-100N Large Display Amplifier Unit
The GT2-100N is a Keyence panel-mount amplifier unit with a large display for GT2 series contact sensors. It offers NPN output and 0.1 μm display resolution.
The GT2-E3N belongs to the Keyence GT2 series of high-accuracy digital contact sensor amplifiers. This expansion board installs directly into the GT2-100N or GT2-100P main amplifier unit. Each board adds three additional sensor head channels. Moreover, the system accepts up to three GT2-E3N boards. Therefore, a single amplifier can manage eleven sensor heads in total.
The GT2-E3N delivers precise measurement with a display resolution of 0.1 µm. Furthermore, its display range spans from -199.9999 to 199.9999. The amplifier supports multiple response times for flexible operation. Specifically, users can select hsp(3), 5, 10, 100, 500, or 1,000 ms settings. Besides, when using GT2-Pxxx series heads, response options include hsp(12), 20, 40, 400, 2,000, and 4,000 ms.
Control inputs include timing, preset, reset, and bank functions. These operate through no-voltage input signals. The unit provides HH, HI, GO, LO, and LL control outputs. Additionally, the NPN open collector output handles 40 V and 50 mA maximum. However, when two or more sensor heads connect, the current capacity drops to 20 mA or less.
The GT2-E3N operates reliably in demanding industrial environments. For instance, the ambient temperature range extends from -10 to +50 °C without freezing. Meanwhile, relative humidity should remain between 35 and 85 % RH without condensation. The unit also withstands vibration from 10 to 55 Hz with double amplitude of 1.5 mm. First, this applies for 2 hours in each X, Y, and Z direction.
Installing the GT2-E3N requires careful attention to proper procedure. First, power off the main amplifier and remove the connection slot cover. Next, insert the expansion board along the guide rail until fully seated. Furthermore, secure the board with the two M3 screws using 0.5 to 0.7 N·m torque.
The power supply comes directly from the GT2-100N or GT2-100P main unit. Therefore, no separate power wiring is necessary. In addition, the I/O connection uses a 30-pin MIL standard connector. For the output connection, the optional OP-84456 socket connector is required. The expansion board consumes 4,200 mW or less at 30 V (140 mA or less). Besides, power saving mode reduces this to 4,000 mW (133.3 mA).
