Bently Nevada 330907-05-30-10-02-CN 3300 NSv Reverse Mount Probe
Product Introduction
The Bently Nevada 330907-05-30-10-02-CN belongs to the 3300 NSv series of reverse mount proximity probes. You can use this probe in process compressor applications where chemical resistance matters most. This model has M10x1 threads and a total length of 1.0 meter (39 inches). Furthermore, it uses a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with standard cable. The reverse mount design makes installation easy in tight machine spaces.
Improved Design Features
This NSv probe provides increased chemical resistance compared to the older 3300 RAM probe. Therefore, it works well in harsh process environments. The side-view characteristics also outperform those of the 3000-series 190 probe when you set the gap at the same distance from the target.
All components in this transducer system use gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors. These connectors lock securely into place and resist loosening from vibration. Additionally, the patented TipLoc molding method creates a strong bond between the probe tip and the probe body. This bond ensures long-term reliability.
Electrical and Linear Range Specifications
Probe DC resistance measures 4.2 ± 0.5 ohms from the center conductor to the outer conductor.
For field wiring, you can use 0.2 to 1.5 mm² (16 to 24 AWG) cable.
We recommend using three-conductor shielded triad cable for best performance.
The maximum cable length between the 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor and the monitor reaches 305 meters (1,000 feet).
Linear range extends to 1.5 mm (60 mils).
This range begins at approximately 0.25 mm (10 mils) from the target.
The full linear operating zone runs from 0.25 to 1.75 mm (10 to 70 mils), which corresponds to approximately -1 to -13 Vdc.
Recommended gap setting is 1.0 mm (40 mils).
Mechanical Specifications
Probe tip material uses Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) for durability.
Probe case material is AISI 304 stainless steel (SST).
For reverse mount probes like the 330907-05-30-10-02-CN, the maximum rated torque is 22.6 N•m (200 in•lb).
However, the recommended torque is only 7.5 N•m (66 in•lb) to avoid damage.
Maximum length of thread engagement for M10x1 threads is 15 mm.
System weight varies by configuration. The probe itself weighs approximately 14 to 150 grams (0.5 to 5.3 oz).
Temperature and Pressure Limits
Operating temperature ranges from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +351°F).
Storage temperature matches the same range: -52°C to +177°C.
Important note: Exposing the probe to temperatures below -34°C (-30°F) for a sustained period may cause premature failure of the pressure seal.
The Bently Nevada 330907-05-30-10-02-CN is designed to seal differential pressure between the probe tip and the case. The sealing material consists of a Viton O-ring for reliable pressure containment.
Installation Guidelines
First, clean the mounting surface thoroughly before installation.
Next, apply the recommended torque of 7.5 N•m (66 in•lb) only. Do not exceed 22.6 N•m.
Then, set the gap to 1.0 mm (40 mils) for optimal performance.
Use the ClickLoc connector to lock the cable securely. You will hear a click when it locks properly.
Finally, verify the DC resistance reading matches 4.2 ± 0.5 ohms before commissioning.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. Can I use the 330907-05-30-10-02-CN with existing 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensors?
Yes. This probe is fully compatible with all 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensors that support M10x1 threaded probes.
2. What happens if I apply torque above the recommended 7.5 N•m?
You risk damaging the probe case or stripping the threads. Therefore, always stay within the recommended torque of 7.5 N•m (66 in•lb).
3. How do I know the ClickLoc connector is fully engaged?
You will hear a distinct click when the connector locks. Additionally, you can gently pull on the cable to confirm it does not detach.
4. Why does the CN suffix appear in the product number?
The CN suffix indicates country-specific agency approval for the Chinese market. This ensures compliance with local regulatory requirements.
5. Can this probe operate continuously at -52°C?
Yes, the probe works at -52°C. However, prolonged exposure below -34°C may shorten the pressure seal's life. For best results, avoid sustained operation below -34°C whenever possible.
