The Bently Nevada 330106-05-30-15-02-05 is a specialized 3300 XL series 8 mm reverse mount probe. Unlike standard forward-mount designs, this reverse mount configuration allows installation from the back side of the machine casing. This makes it particularly useful for tight spaces where conventional probes cannot be accessed directly.

Manufactured in the U.S.A., this probe uses an M10x1 thread and comes without armor. It includes a 1.5-meter standard cable terminated with a miniature ClickLoc coaxial connector. This reverse mount probe delivers the same 2 mm (80 mils) linear range as other 3300 XL probes, starting from approximately 0.25 mm to 2.3 mm (10 to 90 mils). Additionally, the deviation from best fit straight line (DSL) remains below ±0.025 mm (±1 mil) across 0°C to +45°C.

Electrical Characteristics
The nominal DC resistance (RPROBE) from center to outer conductor is 7.73 ± 0.50 Ω for this 1.5-meter probe. The standard cable uses 75Ω triaxial fluoroethylene propylene (FEP) insulation. For field wiring, we recommend 0.2 to 1.5 mm² (16 to 24 AWG) 3-conductor shielded triad cable. The maximum field wiring length between the Proximitor sensor and monitor is 305 meters (1,000 feet).

A Viton® O-ring seals the differential pressure between the tip and the case. Moreover, the probe shows less than 3% change in average scale factor after 56 days at 93% relative humidity (IEC 68-2-3). This ensures reliable performance in humid or pressurized environments.

Thread Engagement
For the M10x1 thread, the maximum engagement length is 15 mm. First, clean the threaded hole thoroughly. Next, thread the probe carefully by hand until it seats. Finally, torque it to the recommended value (refer to standard 3300 XL torque charts).

Gap Setting
For radial vibration monitoring, set the gap to -9 Vdc, corresponding to approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils). Reverse mount probes require the same gap voltage as forward-mount versions, making system calibration consistent.
