The 3300 XL 8 mm probes seal differential pressure between the probe tip and case. A Viton® O-ring provides the sealing material. However, Bently Nevada does not pressure test these probes before shipment.

Relative Humidity Performance

This probe passes the IEC 68-2-3 humidity test. It shows less than a 3% change in Average Scale Factor (ASF) after 56 days at 93% relative humidity.

Probe Pressure Limits

The design focuses on differential pressure sealing. Use the FluidLoc cable option (-12) only when your application has high fluid ingress risk. For the vast majority of 330105 and 330106 installations, the probe sleeve alone works perfectly.

Installation Guidelines

First, check that your mounting hole uses 3/8-24 thread. Next, verify the thread engagement does not exceed 0.563 inches. For hazardous area installations, always follow drawing 141092 for intrinsic safety or drawing 140979 for non-incendive circuits.

Additionally, pay attention to ambient temperature limits. For T5 classification, keep the probe below +40°C. For T1, you can go up to +232°C. Never operate the probe below –34°C, or you may break the pressure seal.

Use the Miniature ClickLoc connector for secure coaxial connection. The 9.0-meter (29.5 feet) total length gives you flexibility for remote mounting of monitoring systems.
