Pressure Sealing and Installation Notes

The 31000/32000 assembly seals differential pressure between the probe tip and the housing main body when used with a 3300 XL 8 mm probe. The internal sealing material of the probe case is a Viton O-ring. Meanwhile, the O-ring between the sleeve and the housing is Neoprene. The plastic housing seals against hose-directed water per NEMA 4X and IP66 standards. However, it is not designed to resist internal or external pressure. Probes are not pressure tested before shipment. Therefore, contact the custom design department if a pressure seal test is required.

Installation Guide

First, verify the mounting thread is 3/4-14 NPT. Next, install the cable seal grip with the correct grommet for your cable size. Then, insert a compatible 3300 XL 8 mm probe into the housing. After that, tighten the retaining nut to 29.4 N·m (260 in·lb). Finally, connect the probe cable to the extension cable and monitor system. Ensure the grounding liner is in place before fastening the cover.
