If you feel unusual resistance during insertion, pull the module back and restart the procedure. Never force the 1763-MM1 into the slot, as this may damage both the module and the controller. The installation can be performed with power applied or removed, thanks to RIUP support.
After installation, the controller needs to recognize the new hardware. You can either cycle power, switch to program mode, or enter suspend mode. Once recognized, the 1763-MM1 becomes available for program storage, recipe logging, and transfer operations.
