Keyence GT2-71MCP PNP Amplifier Unit
The GT2-71MCP is a Keyence DIN-rail amplifier unit for GT2 series contact sensors. It provides PNP control outputs, 4-20 mA analog output, and 0.1 μm display resolution.
The GT2-75N from Keyence is a high-accuracy amplifier unit built for GT2 series digital contact sensor heads. As a panel-mount main unit with NPN output, it suits control panels and machine interfaces where front access is required.
Specifically, this amplifier delivers outstanding precision with a display resolution of 0.1 μm and a display range from -199.999.9 to 199.999.9. The unit supports multi-head expansion, so one main unit can serve several measurement points across a production line.
The GT2-75N achieves high measurement accuracy for demanding industrial tasks. Its display resolution of 0.1 μm enables detection of microscopic displacement changes. Meanwhile, the display range spans -199.999.9 to 199.999.9, giving ample headroom for many measurement duties.
Response time is selectable across six levels: hsp(3)/5/10/100/500/1,000 ms. When paired with GT2-Pxxx series sensor heads, the response options shift to hsp(12)/20/40/400/2,000/4,000 ms to match different head characteristics.
This amplifier unit provides control outputs for versatile system integration. The control outputs include HH/HI/GO/LO/LL NPN open collector type, rated for 40 V / 50 mA maximum with residual voltage of 1 V or less.
Furthermore, the comparator output supports five judgement levels, which helps sorting and pass/fail inspection tasks. Each level can be configured independently through the front panel keys.
Control inputs on the GT2-75N accept no-voltage signals for timing, preset, reset, and bank functions. Timing input requires a minimum input time of 2 ms, while preset, reset, and bank inputs need 20 ms or more.
The unit operates on 10 to 30 VDC with 10% ripple (p-p) included, Class 2 rated. Power consumption is 2,200 mW max, which equals 73.3 mA or less at 30 V. This low draw suits dense panel layouts with limited supply capacity.
The GT2-75N ships with a panel mounting bracket, a protective front cover, and a power cable. Total weight is approximately 140 g with these accessories included. The panel-mount design allows direct installation into a cutout on a control cabinet door.
Operating temperature ranges from -10 to +50 °C with no freezing permitted. Relative humidity tolerance is 35 to 85% RH without condensation. Therefore, the unit fits most indoor industrial environments.
The GT2-75N installs into a standard panel cutout using the supplied mounting bracket. First, cut the panel opening according to the drawing. Next, insert the unit from the front and secure it with the bracket from behind.
The power cable carries supply voltage and control output lines. Brown and blue conductors handle power, while the remaining wires serve the NPN outputs and input signals. Besides, shielded cable is recommended near inverters and servo drives.
The GT2 series supports up to 15 total units, meaning one main unit plus 14 expansion units. When connecting 2 to 8 units, control output current must stay at 20 mA or less. For systems with 9 to 15 units, the current limit drops to 10 mA or less.
